This legislation plays a crucial role in addressing the recent surge in antisemitism, particularly evident in anti-Israel protest on college campuses and beyond. By enshrining a clear definition of antisemitism and state law, the shalom act promotes education, raises awareness, and strengthens effort combat hate crimes and discrimination against Jewish individuals. My support for this bill underscores my dedication to safeguarding the rights and dignity of all communities.
